Tell me Chigiana is an online workshop on music criticism and communication that has been running since 2015 during the summer alongside the Chigiana International Festival & Summer Academy, aiming to share the concerts and all events associated with it. Its goal is to reach and engage the audience in the essence of music through digital communication tools.

Tell me Chigiana offers an intensive experience of over two weeks, where selected candidates, guided by a tutor, will prove their skills by documenting the activities and concerts of the Festival through meetings, writings, photographs, videos, and interviews with the maestros, students, and all the key figures of the Chigiana cultural life. The relationship between content and media formats, principles of audience engagement, and the production of a digital reportage will be among the main topics covered in this educational journey, allowing participants to fully understand the theory through practice.

The workshop will take place during the following sessions:

Monday, July 17 – Thursday, August 3, 2023
Friday, August 18 – Saturday, September 2, 2023

The selection of candidates will be based on certifiable skills.

Curricular internship proposals will also be considered.

Attendance to the workshop is free of charge. Selected candidates may participate in one or more sessions, based on coordinator evaluations.

During the residency period in Siena, participants will have access to accommodation provided by the Academy and free meals at the university cafeteria.

Language skills
Musical skills (e.g., conservatory diploma, musicology degree, artistic experiences)

The selection results will be communicated no later than June 16, 2023.
