Pierre-Laurent Aimard, considerato uno dei pianisti più influenti della sua generazione. illumina le opere del passato rendendole sempre attuali. Il programma comprende tre capolavori di Pierre Boulez. nel centenario della nascita del grande compositore francese: Douze notations. la Première Sonate per pianoforte e Incises, offrono anche l’opportunità unica per apprezzare la forza e la modernità della sua scrittura musicale. Aimard mette a confronto la musica di Boulez con alcuni capolavori assoluti: le Bagatelle op. 119 di Beethoven. la Sonata per pianoforte op. 1 di Alban Berg e Gaspard de la nuit di Ravel. con una riflessione profonda sulla possibile affascinante lettura di influenze reciproche tra i diversi stili e periodi.
