6 JULY / 28 JULY

Collaborative pianist
FRANCESCO DE POLI
with Opera Workshop on
“Don Giovanni” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

GENERAL INFORMATION

To be admitted to the course, candidates must pass the required examination (video audition) and pay the corresponding tuition fee.

The pieces chosen for the admission exam must be indicated during registration.

During the course, students may refine additional pieces of their choice, indicating them in advance on the application form.

The course is dedicated to the study of bel canto, aiming to strengthen its technical and expressive foundations and includes a repertoire that, while remaining in the classical field, may range from recitar cantando to contemporary music.

The 2026 course includes, in addition to the classical program (arias, duets and ensemble pieces that may be performed at the final concert and in other public performances), the preparation and staging of the opera Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, directed by Henning Brockhaus and conducted by Nicolò Jacopo Suppa. Two performances with two different casts are scheduled for 20 and 21 July at the Teatro dei Rozzi in Siena. Two singers per role will be selected for this production.

Roles:

Don Giovanni baritone (or bass-baritone)

Leporello bass

Commendatore and Masetto bass

Donna Anna lyric soprano – dramatic coloratura

Don Ottavio tenor

Donna Elvira lyric soprano / spinto

Zerlina soprano or mezzo-soprano

In addition to the production, the course will focus on the study of solo and ensemble repertoire in preparation for the students’ concert and other possible performances.

Selection of participants will be made exclusively on the basis of video audition.
