GENERAL INFORMATION
In addition to string quartet repertoire, the course will also focus on repertoire for string ensembles (from trio to sextet) and for ensembles of strings and piano (from trio to quintet).
The course is not open to individual instrumentalists.

Thanks to the collaboration with Le Dimore del Quartetto, it will be possible to apply for accommodation at the Tuscan residences of the network during the course period.

As the various residences are located outside the city, participants must have their own means of transportation

Accommodation will be granted subject to availability at the individual residences.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
For the admission exam, candidates must present three works: one Classical, one Romantic, and one well-known 20th-century piece.
Candidates must indicate the works they wish to refine during the course on the application form and must be in possession of the scores and parts for all selected works.

AGE LIMIT
Established ensembles: average age 30 years
Ensembles that can demonstrate they have been established for at least three years are exempt from the age limit, provided that the overall average age is under 35.

– APPLICATION FEE must be sent to the Accademia Chigiana WHEN YOU SUBMIT THE APPLICATION!
– Course tuition / ATTENDANCE FEE should be paid only after receiving an acceptance letter from the Accademia to the course
