In the 2022 edition of the Chigiana International Festival & Summer Academy, “From silence”, the traditional focus on contemporary creation has been dedicated to Luigi Nono. The Festival program includes the performance of 13 works by the Venetian composer, along with encounters with the public and the artists within the series “Chigiana Lounge”, and a digital exhibition created in collaboration with the Fondazione Archivio Luigi Nono (Venice).

The online exhibition displays photographs, images of the scores, sketches, drawings and notes that accompanied the genesis of each of the 13 works. The gallery will be accessible through the website of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana. During the Festival, interviews with the performers discussing about their approach to Nono’s music will enrich the spaces dedicated to each work.

Nono online contributes to the 2022 Chigiana Festival “From silence”, in search of a new way to listen to music, reclaiming our attention to sound, after silence.
