Besides being dedicated to the repertoire for string quartets, the course will also include that of string ensembles (from trios to sextets) and of string ensembles with piano (from trios to quintets).

Single instrumentalists are not eligible for this course.

Candidates must indicate the pieces they prefer to study during the course on the Application Form and must provide scores and all parts of the compositions chosen.

Thanks to the collaboration of the Le Dimore del Quartetto Association, the members of each ensemble can request to stay at one of the Tuscan Historical Residences at the total cost of € 200 + IVA per quartet and €150 + IVA per trio. Since the various residences are located outside the city, it is necessary to have your own means of transport. You can request to take advantage of this opportunity by filling in the appropriate space on the registration form and submitting it by May 31, 2021. Accommodations are subject to the number of places available at the individual residences.

Candidates must perform three pieces: one Classical, one Romantic, and one well-known piece from the 20th century.

For the Quartets accepted to the course it is recommended to study the Triple Quartet by Steve Reich.
